Hytuss Usage: this medication is used to relieve dry cough and helps to loosen phlegm & mucous in the lungs so you can 'cough-up' (expectorate) mucous.
How to use Hytuss: Take each dose of this med with full glass of water. Water will also help break-up the mucous and clear congestion. Drink plenty of fluids while taking this med, unless your doctor instructs you otherwise. do not take this med for chronic, persistent cough such as occurs with smoking or asthma unless directed by your pharmacist. If the cough lasts for more than one week, tends to recur, or is accompanied by fever, headache or rash, consult your pharmacist.
Hytuss side effects: it medication may cause stomach upset or rash. If these effects persist or worsen, inform your doctor. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or physician.
Hytuss Precautions: If you have any about the following health problems, consult your physician before using it medication: breathing problems such as emphysema/chronic bronchitis/asthma, smoking, any allergies. it pill should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your physician. It's not known if it drug is excreted into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Hytuss drug interactions: Tell youre physician of every the medicines you may use, (both prescription & nonprescription), especially: other cough-and-cold medicines. Guaifenesin may affect the results about certain lab tests. Be sure you're caregivers aware you use this medicine before lab tests are performed. do not start or stop any medicine with-out physician or pharmacist approval.
Hytuss Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include drowsiness, fatigue, weakness, dizziness, & unusually slow heartbeat.
Hytuss special notes: it drug comes in variety of dose forms such as tablets, capsules, long acting pills or capsules & a syrup. Ask your doctor or pharmacist to recommend best product for you.
If you missed Hytuss dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if It's almost clock for next dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not double dose to catch up.
Hytuss Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (between 15 and 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. don't store in the bathroom. do not freeze liquid forms of this medication. do not store syrup in refrigerator.
