V R Milk of Magnesia Usage: this tablet is used to treat occasional episodes of constipation. it acts to produce a bowel movement within 6 hours of taking dose. this med is also used for upset stomach caused by heartburn, acid indigestion or sour stomach; since peptic ulcer, hiatal hernia or other conditions caused by excess stomach acid; & to prevent ulcers or bleeding from ulcers.

How to use V R Milk of Magnesia: Take it medication as prescribed. Use only temporarily to relieve constipation. When regularity returns, stop using the pill. Prolonged or continued use may result in laxative dependence. To be effective, chewable tablets must be chewed thoroughly before swallowing followed by full glass of water. Shake liquid forms well before pouring each dose. do not take any other medication within 1 to 2 hours about taking this medication. since magnesium hydroxide coats stomach, it can prevent other meds from being absorbed properly if taken in same time.

V R Milk of Magnesia side effects: it medication can cause diarrhea. If diarrhea persists or worsens, inform you're pharmacist. Notify your doctor if following effects occur: black/tarry stools or rectal bleeding. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact youre physician or pharmacist.

V R Milk about Magnesia Precautions: do not take magnesium hydroxide before consulting youre doctor if you have following conditions: kidney disease, stomach/abdominal pain, nausea or vomiting. do not give this medication to children under 6 years of age without 1'st consulting healthcare professional. Tell youre pharmacist if you are pregnant before using this med. it is not known if magnesium hydroxide is excreted in to breast milk. Though they're have been no reports (to date) about harm to nursing infants, consult your doctor before using this medicine.

V R Milk about Magnesia drug interactions: Tell your doctor of all prescription and nonprescription medications you may use, especially about: antibiotics, quinidine, sodium polystyrene sulfonate. don't start or stop any medicine without physician or doctor approval.

V R Milk of Magnesia Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact some your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

V R Milk of Magnesia special notes: Refrigerating liquid may improve the taste. (Do not freeze). the liquid form works faster and is more effective then the another forms. However, chewable tablets may be more convenient.

If you missed V R Milk of Magnesia dose: If you miss dose, take this as soon as remembered; do not take if It's almost time for next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not double dose to catch up.

V R Milk of Magnesia Storage: Store capsule & pill forms at room temperature away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in the bathroom. do not freeze liquid forms of this medication.
