Oxycodone W Acetaminophen Usage: this medication is a combination of a narcotic (oxycodone) & a non-narcotic (acetaminophen) used to relieve moderate to severe pain. Oxycodone works by binding to opioid receptors in the brain & spinal cord, & acetaminophen decreases formation about prostaglandins, therefore relieving pain.

How to use Oxycodone W Acetaminophen: Take this drug by mouth, as directed by your physician. You may take this drug with or with-out food. If you have nausea, you may take this drug with food, although doing so may decrease It's effectiveness. Oxycodone W Acetaminophen side effects: Nausea, vomiting, constipation, lightheadedness, dizziness, drowsiness, flushing, vision changes, or mental/mood changes may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your pharmacist or physician promptly. Tell your pharmacist immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: slow/irregular breathing, slow/irregular heartbeat, change in amount of urine. If you do not have liver problems, the adult maximum dose of acetaminophen is 4 grams daily (4000 milligrams). If you take more then the maximum daily amount, this can cause serious (possibly fatal) liver disease.
