Decongestant with narcotic antitussive - oral

Lortuss HC Usage: this pill has decongestant which relieves nasal stuffiness & a narcotic antitussive used to suppress cough. this combination pill is used to treat symptoms associated with the common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis & other respiratory illnesses.

How to use Lortuss HC: Take this med as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase your dose or take this more often then directed. this medication is best taken with a full glass of water after a meal or snack.

Lortuss HC side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, loss about appetite, constipation, nausea or stomach upset may occur 1st few days as you're body adjusts to drug. If any about these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your pharmacist if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, tremors, nervousness, mental confusion, breathing trouble. To avoid dizziness and lightheadedness when rising from seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit your intake of alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Use caution performing tasks requiring alertness if this medication causes you to feel drowsy. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact some your pharmacist or physician.

Lortuss HC Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional your medical history, especially of: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), hypertension, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, blood pressure, an overactive thyroid, depression, history of drug dependency, allergies (especially med allergies). this drug must be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your physician. since small amounts about this pill are found at breast milk, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

Lortuss HC drug interactions: Tell your physician of any over-the-counter or prescription tablet you may take including: tablet for blood pressure, antidepressants, sedatives, tranquilizers, sleeping pills, cimetidine. Limit your intake of alcoholic beverages while taking it medication. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or pharmacist approval.

Lortuss HC Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include nausea, vomiting, dizziness, headache, numbness & tingling of hands & feet, irregular heartbeat, weakness, drowsiness, slow or shallow breathing, or unconsciousness.

Lortuss HC special notes: Drink plenty about fluids, especially water while taking this medication. this will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.

If you missed Lortuss HC dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if Its near the clock for following dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.

Lortuss HC Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in the bathroom.
