    Dextromethorphan w/decongestant - oral

    Formula D Usage: Dextromethorphan is cough suppressant. Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. this combination medication is used to treat symptoms associated with common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis & other respiratory illnesses.

    How to use Formula D: Take this med as prescribed. do not increase you're dose or take this more often than directed. Capsule dose forms should be swallowed whole.

    Formula D side effects: Mild dizziness, mild drowsiness, headache, nervousness, restlessness, loss about appetite, nausea or dry mouth may occur first several days as some your body adjusts to the drug. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform you're pharmacist. Notify you're doctor if you develop chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, HBP, tremors, extreme nervousness, hallucinations. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist.

    Formula D Precautions: Tell you're physician if you have: heart disease, hypertension, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, allergies (especially drug allergies). check this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult your pharmacist promptly if it contains PPA or if you uncertain it product has PPA. this medication must be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with you're physician. since small amounts about it medication are found in breast milk, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

    Formula D drug interactions: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may use, including: blood pressure drugs, drugs used to reduce weight, heart medication, medication that prevents drowsiness, MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). do not use this product together with an MAO inhibitor, or for 2 weeks after stopping MAO inhibitor pill. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

    Formula D Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, hyperactivity, slow or shallow breathing, blurred vision, or unconsciousness.

    Formula D special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this drug. it will help to break up mucus and clear congestion.

    If you missed Formula D dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take this if Its near the clock for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.

    Formula D Storage: Store in room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. don't store in bathroom.
