Antihistamines with decongestants - oral
Histor D Usage: Antihistamines provide relief about symptoms of allergies such as rash, hives, watery eyes, runny nose, itching eyes & sneezing. Decongestants relieve congestion, promote sinus draining and improve breathing.
How to use Histor D: May be taken with food or milk to prevent stomach upset. it is recommended to drink plenty about fluids while taking this medication, unless your doctor instructs you otherwise. If symptoms don't improve after 7 days or are accompanied by high fever, notify your doctor. do not increase dose or take this more frequently then recommended. the suspension dosage form must be shaken well before each use.
Histor D side effects: can cause drowsiness, dizziness, headache, loss of appetite, stomach upset, blurred vision, restlessness, irritability & dry mouth and nose. These effects must subside as your body adjusts to drug. If they persist or become bothersome, inform you're physician. Notify youre doctor if you develop: breathing difficulties, heart pounding, irregular heartbeat, chest pain, ringing in the ears, difficulty urinating. may cause dizziness especially when rising quickly from a seated or lying position. Change positions slowly and be careful on stairs. Use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre doctor or pharmacist.
Histor D Precautions: Tell some your doctor youre medical history, especially about: asthma, glaucoma, ulcers, difficulty urinating due to an enlarged prostate gland, heart disease, high blood pressure, seizures, an overactive thyroid gland, medication allergies. check this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult your physician promptly if it contains PPA or if you uncertain this product has PPA. don't drink alcoholic beverages. this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding. do not give it medication to a children younger than six years of age unless directed to do so by pharmacist.
Histor D drug interactions: Tell you're doctor what medications you take, especially about: high blood pressure pills, anti-seizure drugs, antidepressants, sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, narcotic pain medication, other cold or allergy medication. do not take this medication if you have taken an MAO inhibitor (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine) within the last two weeks. do not start or stop any medicine with out healthcare professional or physician approval.
Histor D Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose in kid may include dizziness, nausea/vomiting, abnormal eye movements, flushed face, dry mouth, change in amount of urine, fever, excitation, agitation, unconsciousness, bizarre behavior, confusion, restlessness, irritability, delirium, twitching, tiredness, abnormal tongue movement, trembling extremities, slurred speech, or seizures. Symptoms of overdose in adults may include nausea/vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, or unconsciousness, which may be followed by excitement or seizures.
Histor D special notes: don't share it product with others.
If you missed Histor D dose: If you miss a dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if this is almost time for the following dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Histor D Storage: Store in room temperature away from sunlight & moisture.
