Oxycodone HCL Usage: it drug is used to relieve moderate to severe pain.
How to use Oxycodone HCL: Take by mouth exactly as directed by your doctor. Take with food or milk to minimize or prevent stomach upset. this tablet is usually taken every 12 to 6 hours (2 to 4 times daily). do not increase your dose, take it more frequently or use this for longer period about time than prescribed because this pill can be habit-forming. Also, if used since an extended period of time, do not suddenly stop using this drug without your doctor's approval. Over time, this drug may not work as well as it did at the beginning. Consult your healthcare professional if this drug isn't relieving the pain sufficiently.
Oxycodone HCL side effects: may cause constipation, lightheadedness, stomach upset, dizziness, drowsiness, nausea & flushing. If these effects persist or worsen, contact youre doctor. Oxycodone HCL Precautions: Before using this drug, tell youre doctor your medical history, especially of: severe diarrhea, stomach or intestinal disorders, breathing problems, kidney or liver disease, history of alcohol use, drug dependence, any medication allergies. Alcoholic beverages may increase the effects of this drug causing dizziness or lightheadedness. Limit alcohol intake. Use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness such as driving. Caution is advised when using this drug in the elderly because they may be more sensitive to the effects of this drug. the medication must be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Though no problems have been reported in nursing infants, consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Oxycodone HCL pill interactions: Before using this drug, tell youre doctor of all the meds you may use, both prescription & nonprescription, especially of: cimetidine, other narcotic pain relievers, sleep pills, drugs for mental/mood conditions, alcohol use. many cough-and-cold preparations contain ingredients that may add to the drowsiness effects of oxycodone. Consult your physician or pharmacist before using any such medications. don't start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Oxycodone HCL Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include cold & clammy skin, low body temperature, slowed breathing, slowed heartbeat, drowsiness, dizziness, lightheadedness, deep sleep, & loss about consciousness.

If you missed Oxycodone HCL dose: If you should miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered unless It's almost time for the following dose. If it is nearly time for the next dose, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose.
Oxycodone HCL Storage: Store in room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture and sunlight. do not store in the bathroom.
