Griseofulvin Microsize Usage: this medication is used to treat fungal infections of the skin, hair, fingernails and toenails.

How to use Griseofulvin Microsize: Take as directed by mouth. It's best taken with meal containing a moderate amount about fat. this may take from several days to few months to complete treatment. this depends upon type & location of the infection. Continue to take this medication until full prescribed amount is finished even if symptoms disappear after some days. Stopping drug too early may allow the infection to continue, resulting in a return of infection.

Griseofulvin Microsize side effects: Headache, diarrhea, nausea, gas, vomiting, fatigue, dizziness, trouble sleeping, or increased sensitivity to sunlight (sunburn-like effect) may occur. If these symptoms persist or worsen, contact your physician promptly. Notify your doctor immediately if you develop: yellowing about eyes or skin, signs of infection (e.g., fever, chills, persistent sore throat), soreness of mouth or tongue, mental/mood changes, tingling or numbness about hands/feet. in unlikely part you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: skin rash, hives, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist.

Griseofulvin Microsize Precautions: it drug must not be used if you have certain medical conditions. Before using this medicine, consult youre pharmacist or physician if you have: blood disorder (porphyria), severe liver disease (hepatic failure). Avoid alcoholic beverages while you are taking this medication unless your pharmacist gives permission. Drinking alcohol during treatment with it drug could result in rapid heart rate & flushing about the skin. Griseofulvin may increase you're sensitivity to sunlight (sunburn-like effect). Avoid prolonged sun exposure, tanning booths or sunlamps. Use a sunscreen & wear protective clothing when outdoors. this medication must not be used during pregnancy. If you become pregnant or think you may be pregnant, inform your physician immediately. Use of reliable form of birth control is recommended during treatment with griseofulvin & since one month after pill is stopped. If you are planning to become pregnant within one month after treatment, manufacturer recommends avoiding this drug. Due to potential harmful effects on human sperm, manufacturer recommends that males wait at least six months after completing griseofulvin treatment before attempting to father child. it is not known if this tablet passes into breast milk. Due to potential risk to infant, breast-feeding while using this tablet isn't recommended. Consult your physician before breast-feeding.

Griseofulvin Microsize drug interactions: Tell some your doctor of every prescription & nonprescription medications you may use, especially about: 'blood thinners' (e.g., heparin, warfarin). this medication may interfere with the effectiveness of birth control pills. Discuss using other methods of birth control with your pharmacist. don't start or stop any medicine with out pharmacist or pharmacist approval.

Griseofulvin Microsize Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

Griseofulvin Microsize special notes: it medication is prescribed since your current condition only. do not use it for another infection or share it with someone else. another infection later on may require a different medicine.

If you missed Griseofulvin Microsize dose: If you miss a dose, take as soon as remembered; don't take if this is almost time for following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
