E E S 200 Usage: Erythromycin is an antibiotic used to treat wide variety of bacterial infections.
How to use E E S 200: this medication may be taken with food or milk if stomach upset occurs. Shake liquid well before using. Antibiotics work best when the amount of medicine in some your body is kept at a constant level. Do it by taking med at evenly spaced intervals throughout the day and night. Continue to take this medication until full prescribed amount is finished even if symptoms disappear after a few days. Stopping pill too early may allow bacteria to continue to grow resulting at relapse of the infection.
E E S 200 side effects: may cause stomach upset, diarrhea, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, or stomach cramps first some days as you're body adjusts to medication. E E S 200 Precautions: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially: liver disease/jaundice, any allergies. Caution is advised when it medication is used in infants. Though very unlikely to happen, a stomach problem called IHPS (infantile hypertrophic pyloric stenosis) has been noted. Contact your child's pharmacist immediately if the child has persistent vomiting or increased irritability. this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. E E S 200 medication interactions: Tell youre pharmacist of every medications you may use, (prescription and nonprescription) especially of the following: carbamazepine, cyclosporine, theophylline, certain benzodiazepines (e.g., midazolam, triazolam), warfarin, felodipine (a calcium channel blocker), cisapride, birth control pills, corticosteroids (e.g., prednisone), digoxin, ergotamine-containing drugs, sildenafil, certain live vaccines, disopyramide, phenytoin, other antibiotics, certain tablets used to treat high cholesterol (e.g., lovastatin). other drugs besides erythromycin which may affect heart rhythm (QTc prolongation in EKG) include dofetilide, pimozide, quinidine, sotalol, procainamide, & sparfloxacin among others. QTc prolongation can infrequently result in serious, rarely fatal, irregular heartbeats. Consult your pharmacist or physician for following guide. Ask for instructions about whether you need to stop any other QTc-prolonging medications you may be using in order to minimize risk of this effect. this drug may interfere with the effectiveness of birth control tablets. Discuss using other methods about birth control with your doctor. do not start or stop any medicine with out healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.
