Dilor G Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dyphylline acts to widen air passages in the lungs to make breathing easier. this combination med is used to relieve symptoms associated with common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis and other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Dilor G: Take it medication as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase your dose or take this more often than directed. this pill is best taken with a full glass of water after a meal or snack.
Dilor G side effects: Headache, stomach upset, loss of appetite, nausea, anxiety, irritability or nervousness may occur the first several days as some your body adjusts to medication. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform youre healthcare professional. Notify your doctor if you develop: chest pain, fast/irregular heartbeat, rash, vomiting, trouble sleeping, dizziness, flushing, tremors, mental confusion. Notify you're pharmacist if your breathing difficulty continues or worsens. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist.
Dilor G Precautions: Tell your doctor youre medical history, especially about: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), hypertension, history of ulcers or seizures, glaucoma, any allergies. Smoking can reduce the effects about it medication. Inform you're doctor if you smoke before taking this. Limit your intake of caffeine containing products while taking this medication as it can increase the risk of side effects. Caffeine is found in coffee, tea, cola, cocoa & chocolate. this medication must be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with youre physician. for small amounts about this med found in breast milk, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Dilor G drug interactions: Tell your physician of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: blood pressure medicine, anti-seizure drugs, antibiotics, steroids, thyroid hormones, 'water pills' (diuretics). do not start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or healthcare professional approval.
Dilor G Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, restlessness, irritability, headache, difficulty sleeping, loss about appetite, irregular heart rate, sweating, & seizures.
Dilor G special notes: Drink plenty about fluids, especially water while taking it med. it will help to break up mucus and clear congestion.
If you missed Dilor G dose: If you miss dose, take this as soon as remembered; do not take this if it is near the clock for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Dilor G Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. don't store in the bathroom.
