Congestac Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous & congestion. Pseudoephedrine is decongestant which helps relieve nasal congestion. this combination medication is used to treat symptoms associated with a cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.
How to use Congestac: Take it drug by mouth. this should be swallowed whole. don't crush or chew the pill. If stomach upset occurs, this may be taken with food or milk. Take it tablet as directed. don't increase dose or take it more many times or longer than prescribed. it is recommended to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 glasses a day) to help relieve congestion.
Congestac side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, loss of appetite, nervousness, dizziness, or headache may occur the first some days as your body adjusts to medication. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your pharmacist. Notify your pharmacist if you develop: chest pain, a rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficulty urinating (men only), difficulty sleeping. Because this medication can cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness & avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate this effect. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact you're doctor or pharmacist.
Congestac Precautions: Tell your pharmacist if you have: pre-existing heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, lung disease, emphysema, HBP, overactive thyroid, diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, difficulty urinating, an enlarged prostate, history about seizures. this drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks and benefits with your physician. Its not known if this medication appears at breast milk; consult youre doctor before breast-feeding.
Congestac drug interactions: Tell your physician about any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, pill for depression, medication since high blood pressure. Tell your physician if you have taken any MAO inhibitors in last two weeks: furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, linezolid. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or healthcare professional approval.
Congestac Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include nausea, vomiting, fast or irregular heartbeat, & seizures.
Congestac special notes: don't share it product with others.
If you missed Congestac dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take if It's almost time for the following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Congestac Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture and sunlight. do not store in the bathroom.
