Grifulvin V Usage: this medication is used to treat fungal infections of the skin, hair, fingernails & toenails.

How to use Grifulvin V: Shake this suspension well before using. Take as directed by mouth. It's best taken with a meal containing a moderate amount of fat. this may take from several days to some months to complete treatment. it depends upon the type and location of the infection. Continue to take this pill until full prescribed amount is finished even if symptoms disappear after a few days. Stopping pill too early may allow the infection to continue, resulting in return of infection.

Grifulvin V side effects: Headache, diarrhea, nausea, gas, vomiting, fatigue, dizziness, trouble sleeping, or increased sensitivity to sunlight (sunburn-like effect) may occur. If these symptoms persist or worsen, contact your physician promptly. Notify your physician immediately if you develop: yellowing about eyes or skin, signs of infection (e.g., fever, chills, persistent sore throat), soreness of mouth or tongue, mental/mood changes, tingling or numbness about hands/feet. in the unlikely chapter you have an allergic reaction to it drug, seek immeditial medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: skin rash, hives, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist.

Grifulvin V Precautions: this medication should not be used if you have certain medical conditions. Before using this medicine, consult youre healthcare professional or healthcare professional if you have: blood disorder (porphyria), severe liver disease (hepatic failure). Avoid alcoholic beverages while you taking this drug unless your doctor gives permission. Drinking alcohol during treatment with this medication could result in a rapid heart rate & flushing about the skin. Griseofulvin may increase your sensitivity to sunlight (sunburn-like effect). Avoid prolonged sun exposure, tanning booths or sunlamps. Use sunscreen & wear protective clothing when outdoors. it medication must not be used during pregnancy. If you become pregnant or think you may be pregnant, inform youre healthcare professional immediately. Use about reliable form of birth control is recommended during treatment with griseofulvin & for one month after the medication is stopped. If you planning to become pregnant within one month after treatment, manufacturer recommends avoiding this drug. Due to potential harmful effects on human sperm, manufacturer recommends that males wait at least 6 months after completing griseofulvin treatment before attempting to father child. it is not known if this drug passes into breast milk. Due to potential risk to the infant, breast-feeding while using this drug is not recommended. Consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.

Grifulvin V drug interactions: Tell your pharmacist of every prescription & nonprescription drugs you may use, especially about: 'blood thinners' (e.g., heparin, warfarin). this medication may interfere with effectiveness of birth control pills. Discuss using other methods of birth control with your healthcare professional. do not start or stop any medicine with out pharmacist or healthcare professional approval.

Grifulvin V Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

Grifulvin V special notes: it med is prescribed for youre current condition only. do not use it for other infection or share it with someone else. other infection later on may require different medicine.

If you missed Grifulvin V dose: If you miss a dose, take as soon as remembered; don't take if this is almost time for next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

Grifulvin V Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight and moisture.
