Tusnel Pediatric Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan suppresses cough. Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. this combination medication is used to treat cough & relieve symptoms associated with the common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis & other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Tusnel Pediatric: this medication is best taken with full glass about water after meal or snack. Swallow long acting tablets & capsules whole. don't crush or chew them because the long action will be destroyed & the chance of side effects will be increased. Take this tablet as prescribed. do not increase your dose or take it more often than directed.
Tusnel Pediatric side effects: Mild dizziness, mild drowsiness, headache, loss of appetite, nausea, dry mouth or nervousness may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform your doctor. Notify you're doctor if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, painful or difficult urination, tremors, extreme nervousness, trouble sleeping. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact some your pharmacist or physician.
Tusnel Pediatric Precautions: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, hypertension, overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, any drug allergies. check this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). the FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult your healthcare professional promptly if it contains PPA or if you are uncertain this product has PPA. this drug should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks and benefits with your doctor. this tablet may be excreted into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Tusnel Pediatric drug interactions: Tell your doctor of all prescription & nonprescription medications you use, especially: medication for blood pressure, MAO inhibitors (e.g., phenelzine, furazolidone, moclobemide, linezolid, procarbazine, selegiline), sibutramine, narcotic pain medicines (e.g., codeine, morphine). Limit some your intake of alcoholic beverages while taking it med. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or healthcare professional approval.
Tusnel Pediatric Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include nausea/vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, loss about coordination, unusual movements of the eyes, slow or shallow breathing, unconsciousness, slurred speech, change in behavior, convulsions, unusual slow or fast heartbeat, chest pain, increased thirst, fatigue, muscle weakness, headache, fever, chills, large pupils, anxiety, sweating, or tremors.
Tusnel Pediatric special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this drug. it will help to break up mucus and clear congestion.
If you missed Tusnel Pediatric dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not double dose to catch up.
Tusnel Pediatric Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in the bathroom.
