Dilex G 400 Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dyphylline acts to widen air passages at the lungs to make breathing easier. this combination medication is used to relieve symptoms associated with common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis and other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Dilex G 400: Take this med as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase your dose or take this more many times than directed. this medication is best taken with full glass of water after meal or snack.
Dilex G 400 side effects: Headache, stomach upset, loss about appetite, nausea, anxiety, irritability or nervousness may occur 1st several days as your body adjusts to the med. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your physician if you develop: chest pain, fast/irregular heartbeat, rash, vomiting, trouble sleeping, dizziness, flushing, tremors, mental confusion. Notify youre pharmacist if you're breathing difficulty continues or worsens. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're pharmacist or physician.
Dilex G 400 Precautions: Tell your doctor some your medical history, especially about: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), HBP, history of ulcers or seizures, glaucoma, any allergies. Smoking can reduce effects about this med. Inform youre pharmacist if you smoke before taking it. Limit some your intake about caffeine containing products while taking this tablet as it can increase the risk of side effects. Caffeine is found in coffee, tea, cola, cocoa and chocolate. it drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks and benefits with your pharmacist. for small amounts of this medication are found at breast milk, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Dilex G 400 med interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take including: blood pressure medicine, anti-seizure medications, antibiotics, steroids, thyroid hormones, 'water pills' (diuretics). do not start or stop any medicine without physician or healthcare professional approval.
Dilex G 400 Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, restlessness, irritability, headache, difficulty sleeping, loss of appetite, irregular heart rate, sweating, and seizures.
Dilex G 400 special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this drug. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.
If you missed Dilex G 400 dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take it if this is near the time for following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Dilex G 400 Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. do not store in the bathroom.
