Guaifenesin/decongestant/narcotic antitussive liquid - oral
Tusnel Ped C Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant that loosen mucus. the decongestant relieves nasal stuffiness. the low-dose narcotic antitussive helps control cough. this combination drug is used to treat cough & relieve symptoms associated with common colds, allergies, & other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Tusnel Ped C: this med is best taken with, or after, a meal or snack. Take this medication as prescribed. do not increase you're dose or take this more much of times than directed.
Tusnel Ped C side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, loss about appetite, nausea or anxiety may occur the 1st few days as your body adjusts to med. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your physician. To avoid dizziness & lightheadedness when rising from a seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit some your intake of alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Notify your doctor if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, HBP, painful or difficult urination, tremors, nervousness, trouble sleeping, hallucinations. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact some your physician or physician.
Tusnel Ped C Precautions: Tell your pharmacist if you have: kidney problems, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, HBP, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, depression, history about drug dependency, any allergies. Use caution performing tasks requiring alertness if it med causes you to feel drowsy. check this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult your pharmacist promptly if it contains PPA or if you uncertain it product has PPA. it product should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks and benefits with youre healthcare professional. at least one of ingredients in this combination product is known to be excreted into breast milk. Consult your pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Tusnel Ped C medication interactions: Tell youre healthcare professional of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take, including: blood pressure drugs, antidepressants, MAO inhibitors (e.g., selegiline, linezolid, furazolidone, phenelzine, tranylcypromine), cimetidine. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or physician approval.
Tusnel Ped C Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include slow or shallow breathing, slow heart rate, small pupils, severe drowsiness, or unconsciousness.
Tusnel Ped C special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this med. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.
If you missed Tusnel Ped C dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near time for following dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Tusnel Ped C Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. do not store in bathroom.
