    Guaifenesin with pseudoephedrine - oral capsule, tablet

    (gweye-fen-eh-sin with sue-doh-eff-ed-rin)

    P Epd Hcl Guaifenesin Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous & congestion. Pseudoephedrine is decongestant which helps relieve nasal congestion. this combination medication is used to treat symptoms associated with a cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.

    How to use P Epd Hcl Guaifenesin: Take this pill by mouth. this should be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew the drug. If stomach upset occurs, it may be taken with food or milk. Take this medication as directed. do not increase dose or take this more often or longer than prescribed. It's recommended to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 glasses a day) to help relieve congestion.

    P Epd Hcl Guaifenesin side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, loss of appetite, nervousness, dizziness, or headache may occur the 1'st several days as you're body adjusts to tablet. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your healthcare professional. Notify you're healthcare professional if you develop: chest pain, a rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficulty urinating (men only), difficulty sleeping. Because it drug can cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness & avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate this effect. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or healthcare professional.

    P Epd Hcl Guaifenesin Precautions: Tell your pharmacist if you have: pre-existing heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, lung disease, emphysema, high blood pressure, overactive thyroid, diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, difficulty urinating, an enlarged prostate, history of seizures. this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks and benefits with your physician. this isn't known if it medication appears in breast milk; consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

    P Epd Hcl Guaifenesin drug interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, pill for depression, drug for high blood pressure. Tell you're healthcare professional if you have taken any MAO inhibitors at the last two weeks: furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, linezolid. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or pharmacist approval.

    P Epd Hcl Guaifenesin Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, quick or irregular heartbeat, & seizures.

    P Epd Hcl Guaifenesin special notes: do not share this product with others.

    If you missed P Epd Hcl Guaifenesin dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost time for the following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.

    P Epd Hcl Guaifenesin Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 and 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in the bathroom.
