Dilex G 200 Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dyphylline acts to widen air passages in lungs to make breathing easier. this combination drug is used to relieve symptoms associated with common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis and other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Dilex G 200: Take it drug as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase your dose or take it more often than directed. this tablet is best taken with a full glass of water after meal or snack.
Dilex G 200 side effects: Headache, stomach upset, loss of appetite, nausea, anxiety, irritability or nervousness may occur first some days as your body adjusts to drug. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop: chest pain, fast/irregular heartbeat, rash, vomiting, trouble sleeping, dizziness, flushing, tremors, mental confusion. Notify youre pharmacist if your breathing difficulty continues or worsens. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre doctor or pharmacist.
Dilex G 200 Precautions: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially about: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), hypertension, history about ulcers or seizures, glaucoma, any allergies. Smoking can reduce effects about this drug. Inform your doctor if you smoke before taking this. Limit your intake of caffeine containing goods while taking this tablet as this can increase the risk of side effects. Caffeine is found in coffee, tea, cola, cocoa & chocolate. it medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. for small amounts of it pill found in breast milk, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Dilex G 200 med interactions: Tell you're doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: blood pressure medicine, anti-seizure tablets, antibiotics, steroids, thyroid hormones, 'water pills' (diuretics). do not start or stop any medicine with-out physician or pharmacist approval.
Dilex G 200 Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, restlessness, irritability, headache, difficulty sleeping, loss about appetite, irregular heart rate, sweating, & seizures.
Dilex G 200 special notes: Drink plenty about fluids, especially water while taking this drug. it will help to break up mucus and clear congestion.
If you missed Dilex G 200 dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take this if it is near time for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Dilex G 200 Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in the bathroom.
