Bactroban Usage: it drug is used to treat infections of skin such as impetigo.
How to use Bactroban: Clean and dry affected area before applying the medication. To apply, gently massage little bit about drug into the affected area & surrounding skin three times daily or as directed by you're physician. Cover with a loose fitting bandage if desired. Continue to use medication as prescribed for the full time prescribed. Stopping therapy too early can result at re- infection. If no improvement is seen in 3 to three days, consult your physician. other tablet may be necessary. Avoid using it tablet around the eyes, nose or mouth.
Bactroban side effects: this tablet may cause burning, stinging or itching when first applied to skin. it should disappear in a few days as your body adjusts to medication. If these effects persist or worsen, inform your doctor. Notify your physician promptly if you develop: redness or swelling in area drug has been applied. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or healthcare professional.
Bactroban Precautions: Tell your pharmacist your medical history, especially of: allergies (especially drug allergies). Use about this medication for prolonged or repeated periods may result in a secondary infection (e.g., fungal infection). Tell your healthcare professional if you are pregnant before using it medication. Its not known if it drug is excreted in to breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Bactroban drug interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of all medicines you may use (both prescription & nonprescription), especially about: chloramphenicol, any skin products. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or physician approval.
Bactroban Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
Bactroban special notes: it drug is prescribed for your current condition only. do not use it for other infection or share this with someone else. other infection later on may require a different med.
If you missed Bactroban dose: If you miss a dose, apply as soon as remembered and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Bactroban Storage: Store ointment at room temperature at or below 77 degrees F (25 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. Avoid freezing. do not store in the bathroom.
