V R Docusate Calcium Usage: this pill helps fluids to mix with stool to keep them from becoming hard or dry. it is used to treat constipation.

How to use V R Docusate Calcium: Swallow capsules & meds whole with a full glass of water or juice. liquid & syrup forms must be given in six to 8 ounces about milk or juice to prevent throat irritation. Relief is usually obtained in 1 to 3 days after first dose.

V R Docusate Calcium side effects: this medication may cause stomach ache, cramping or irritated throat (liquid and syrup forms). If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you experience: skin rash, rectal bleeding, lack of bowel movements. Frequent use of laxatives can cause dehydration and loss of essential nutrients. Symptoms include muscle cramps, muscle weakness or dizziness. Maintain an adequate fluid intake while using it med. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre healthcare professional or physician.

V R Docusate Calcium Precautions: do not take aspirin (unless prescribed by your doctor) or mineral oil while taking stool softeners. If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, do not take over-the-counter stool softeners (or any another nonprescription medication) with out obtaining your doctor's advice.

V R Docusate Calcium special notes: Laxatives should only be used temporarily until normal bowel habits return. Prolonged use can lead to laxative dependence. To prevent constipation: drink four to 6 glasses of water daily, include bulk or roughage in your diet, & exercise regularly.

If you missed V R Docusate Calcium dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if It's almost clock for the following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
