Senno Usage: Irritant or stimulant laxatives used to treat constipation & to clear intestine before rectal or bowel examinations.
How to use Senno: Take each dose with full glass about water or juice and drink plenty about fluids while taking this med. Chewable tablets are to be chewed thoroughly. tablets are to be swallowed whole with a full glass of water. Wafers to be chewed. Laxatives should not be used in persons experiencing stomach cramps, nausea or vomiting.
Senno side effects: this med may cause diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, rectal irritation, stomach cramps or bloating. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you experience: rectal bleeding, rapid heart rate, weakness, dizziness, fainting, sweating, skin rash, unrelieved constipation. it medication may cause the urine to turn pink, red or brownish in color. do not be alarmed. It's not harmful. Prolonged, frequent or excessive use of laxatives may lead to dependency. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Senno Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional some your medical history, especially of: kidney disease, heart disease, HBP, swelling (edema), any allergies (especially to tartrazine). Castor oil is not recommended for use during pregnancy. Bulk producing laxatives an alternative. Discuss risks & benefits with your doctor. Consult your doctor before using any med while breast-feeding.
Senno drug interactions: Because laxatives may interfere with the absorption about some medications, this is important to tell your pharmacist about any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take. Avoid the use about dairy products or antacids within one hour of taking bisacodyl pills. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or pharmacist approval.
Senno Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include severe diarrhea, nausea/vomiting, loss of appetite, muscle cramps, weakness, lack of feeling alert, or dry gums and eyes.
Senno special notes: To maintain normal bowel habits, it is important to drink plenty of fluids (4 to six eight ounce glasses day), increase your intake of fiber & roughage and exercise regularly.
If you missed Senno dose: If you miss dose, take this as soon as remembered; don't take it if it is near time for next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Senno Storage: Different brands of this drug may have different storage requirements. Refer to package labeling or ask youre pharmacist since specific storage requirements for the brand you are using.
