Guaifenesin/dextromethorphan/decongestant - oral
Tussi Pres Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan suppresses cough. Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. this combination tablet is used to treat a cough & relieve symptoms associated with common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis and other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Tussi Pres: it drug is best taken with a full glass about water after meal or snack. Swallow long acting tablets & capsules whole. don't crush or chew them because long action will be destroyed & the chance of side effects will be increased. Take this medication as prescribed. don't increase you're dose or take it more much of times than directed.
Tussi Pres side effects: Mild dizziness, mild drowsiness, headache, loss of appetite, nausea, dry mouth or nervousness may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform youre healthcare professional. Notify your doctor if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, painful or difficult urination, tremors, extreme nervousness, trouble sleeping. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or pharmacist.
Tussi Pres Precautions: Tell some your healthcare professional your medical history, especially: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, HBP, overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, any drug allergies. check this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult youre pharmacist promptly if this contains PPA or if you are uncertain it product has PPA. this drug must be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks and benefits with you're physician. this medication may be excreted into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Tussi Pres drug interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of all prescription and nonprescription drugs you use, especially: med for blood pressure, MAO inhibitors (e.g., phenelzine, furazolidone, moclobemide, linezolid, procarbazine, selegiline), sibutramine, narcotic pain medicines (e.g., codeine, morphine). Limit some your intake about alcoholic beverages while taking this med. don't start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.
Tussi Pres Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea/vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, loss about coordination, unusual movements of the eyes, slow or shallow breathing, unconsciousness, slurred speech, change in behavior, convulsions, unusual slow or fast heartbeat, chest pain, increased thirst, fatigue, muscle weakness, headache, fever, chills, large pupils, anxiety, sweating, or tremors.
Tussi Pres special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking it pill. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.
If you missed Tussi Pres dose: If you miss a dose, take this as soon as remembered; don't take this if It's near time for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not double dose to catch up.
Tussi Pres Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. don't store in the bathroom.
