    Antibacterials - ophthalmic, otic

    Tobrasol Usage: it medication is used to treat infections of eye (ophthalmic) or ear (otic).

    How to use Tobrasol: Use this as prescribed. Continue using it for full time prescribed. Stopping therapy too soon may result in a reinfection. To apply eye or ear medication, wash hands 1st. To avoid contamination, be careful not to touch the dropper or tube or let it touch affected area. Shake drops well before using. Hold the ointment tube in your hand for a few minutes to make tablet flow easier. EYE medication: Tilt youre head back, gaze upward and pull down the lower eyelid to make pouch. for drops, place dropper directly over eye & administer the prescribed number of drops. look downward and gently close your eye for 1 to 2 minutes. With eye ointment, place medication inside lower lid using sweeping motion. Close eye & roll the eyeball. Remove excess ointment with tissue. Try not to blink & do not rub eye. If you are using other kind of eye drug, wait five to ten minutes before applying. EAR pill: Lie on your side or turn the affected ear upward to make application easier. Place the prescribed number about drops in ear. Avoid touching the ear canal. Keep ear tilted for one to two minutes. small piece of clean cotton may be placed in ear to prevent drops from escaping.

    Tobrasol side effects: this pill may temporarily sting when 1'st applied. If this effect persists or worsens, inform your physician promptly. in unlikely chapter you have an allergic reaction to this pill, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, redness, swelling or discharge (including eye or ear area), trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or physician.

    Tobrasol Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional youre medical history, especially: all previous eye or ear problems, if you use contact lenses, any allergies. Vision may be temporarily blurred after applying eye drug. Use caution driving or performing duties requiring clear vision. this & every medications should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy or when breast-feeding. Consult with your healthcare professional if you pregnant or breast-feeding.

    Tobrasol drug interactions: Tell your physician about every medications you may use (both prescription & nonprescription), especially of: silver preparations, all other eye or ear antibiotic or corticosteroid (e.g., hydrocortisone) drugs. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or pharmacist approval.

    Tobrasol Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. it medicine may be harmful if swallowed.

    Tobrasol special notes: Throw away any unused episode of your prescription. do not save it to use for another infection. do not allow anyone else to use this medication. infection may spread to another human if you accidentally contaminate the med.

    If you missed Tobrasol dose: If you miss dose, apply this as soon as remembered; don't use if Its almost time for the following dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume youre usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.

    Tobrasol Storage: Depending upon manufacturer, product may be stored at room temperature or refrigerated. Ask your pharmacist. do not store in bathroom. do not freeze.
