Hyphen HD Usage: Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. the low-dose narcotic antitussive helps control cough. antihistamine is for relief from sneezing, runny nose, water eyes. it combination product is used to treat symptoms associated with common colds, allergies, hay fever & other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Hyphen HD: Take this drug as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase you're dose or take this more often than directed. it medication is best taken with a full glass of water after meal or snack.
Hyphen HD side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, loss of appetite, nausea, stomach upset or dry mouth may occur first several days as your body adjusts to the drug. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your physician. To avoid dizziness & lightheadedness when rising from a seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit some your intake of alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Notify some your doctor if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, high blood pressure, difficulty urinating, tremors, nervousness, hallucinations, breathing trouble. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact some your healthcare professional or physician.
Hyphen HD Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional if you have: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, high blood pressure, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, depression, history of drug dependency, any allergies. Use caution performing tasks requiring alertness if this drug causes you to feel drowsy. bucks this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). the FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult youre pharmacist promptly if it contains PPA or if you uncertain this product has PPA. this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your physician. since small amounts of it drug found in breast milk, consult your physician before breast-feeding.
Hyphen HD medication interactions: Tell your physician of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take, including: blood pressure drugs, antidepressants, sedatives, tranquilizers, sleeping tablets, MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine), cimetidine, narcotic pain medication (e.g., codeine). Limit you're intake of alcoholic beverages while taking it med. do not start or stop any medicine with out doctor or pharmacist approval.
Hyphen HD Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include drowsiness, headache, dizziness, weakness, profuse sweating, slow or quick heartbeat, slow or shallow breathing, hyperactivity, fever, seizures, or unconsciousness.
Hyphen HD special notes: Drink plenty about fluids, especially water while taking it medication. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.
If you missed Hyphen HD dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take it if it is near the time for the following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Hyphen HD Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. don't store in bathroom.
