Guaifenesin/antitussive/decongestant/antihistamine - oral
Broncopectol Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Antitussives cough suppressants used to relieve a dry, hacking cough. Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. Antihistamines relieve runny nose, sneezing, itchy nose & throat and itchy, watery eyes. this combination medication is used to treat symptoms associated with common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis & other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Broncopectol: Take this med as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase you're dose or take it more often then directed. it medication is best taken with full glass about water after a meal or snack.
Broncopectol side effects: Dizziness, headache, loss of appetite, nausea or dry mouth may occur the 1st few days as your body adjusts to medication. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your pharmacist. To avoid dizziness & lightheadedness when rising from seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit your intake about alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Notify you're physician if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, high blood pressure, difficulty urinating, tremors, nervousness, hallucinations. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact you're healthcare professional or healthcare professional.
Broncopectol Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional if you have: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), HBP, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, depression, allergies (especially drug allergies). money this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). the FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult your pharmacist promptly if it contains PPA or if you are uncertain this product has PPA. this drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your physician. since small amounts about this medication are found at breast milk, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Broncopectol med interactions: Tell you're doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you use, including: blood pressure drugs, antidepressants, sedatives, tranquilizers, sleeping meds, MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine), narcotic pain medication (e.g., codeine). Limit your intake of alcoholic beverages while taking this tablet. don't start or stop any medicine with out doctor or pharmacist approval.
Broncopectol Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include abnormal eye movements, flushed face, dry mouth, change in amount of urine, fever, excitation, agitation, bizarre behavior, confusion, restlessness, irritability, delirium, twitching, abnormal tongue or eye movement, slurred speech, nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, blurred vision, loss of coordination, slow or shallow breathing, change in amount of urine, unconsciousness, hallucination, sleeplessness, itching, or seizures.
Broncopectol special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking it medication. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.
If you missed Broncopectol dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if It's near the time for following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Broncopectol Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. do not store in the bathroom.
