    Pemirolast - ophthalmic

    Alamast Usage: Pemirolast is used to prevent itching of eyes caused by allergies (allergic conjunctivitis).

    How to use Alamast: this tablet is used in affected eyes usually 4 times daily; or use as directed by your pharmacist. Remove contact lenses before applying eye drop. Wait at least 10 minutes after using this drug before inserting contact lenses. To apply eye drops, wash your hands first. To avoid contamination, do not touch dropper tip or let this touch you're eye or any other surface. for best results, it med must be used routinely as directed. Continue using this for full time prescribed. If you are wearing contact lenses, remove them before using eye drops. then tilt your head back, gaze upward, & pull down lower eyelid to make a pouch. Hold the dropper directly over the eye & instill the prescribed number of drops. watch downward and gently close your eye since 1 to two minutes. Place one finger at the corner of the eye near nose & apply gentle pressure. this will prevent the med from draining away from eye. Try not to blink & don't rub the eye. do not rinse the dropper. Replace the dropper cap after each use. If you using another kind of eye medication (e.g., drops or ointments), wait at least five minutes before applying other medications. Use eye drops before eye ointments, to allow the eye drops to enter eye. this may take up to several days of continued use to watch relief in symptoms. If immediate relief of symptoms (itching) is needed, use another quick-relief drug.

    Alamast side effects: Headache, runny nose, eye discomfort, or dry eyes may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your physician. Tell your doctor immediately if any about these serious side effects occur: fever, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or doctor.

    Alamast Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional you're medical history, including: any allergies you may have. If you wear contact lenses, consult your healthcare professional about the use of contact lenses when the eyes red or irritated. this medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with youre pharmacist. Its not known whether this drug passes into breast milk. Consult you're healthcare professional before breast-feeding.

    Alamast pill interactions: Tell you're doctor of every prescription & nonprescription med you may use, especially of: other eye drug. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

    Alamast Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.

    Alamast special notes: do not share this drug with others.

    If you missed Alamast dose: If you miss a dose, use this as soon as you remember. If it is near time of the following dose, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. don't double dose to catch up.

    Alamast Storage: Store dropper bottle upright at room temperature between 59 and 77 degrees F (15 to 25 degrees C).
