Decongestant/narcotic antitussive/antihistamine - oral
M end Usage: Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. low-dose narcotic antitussive helps control cough. antihistamine is since relief from sneezing, runny nose, water eyes. this combination product is used to treat symptoms associated with common colds, allergies, hay fever and other respiratory illnesses.
How to use M end: Take it tablet as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. don't increase your dose or take this more many times than directed. it tablet is best taken with a full glass of water after meal or snack.
M finish side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, loss of appetite, nausea, stomach upset or dry mouth may occur the first some days as your body adjusts to medication. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. To avoid dizziness and lightheadedness when rising from seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit youre intake of alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Notify your healthcare professional if you develop: chest pain, a rapid pulse, skin rash, HBP, difficulty urinating, tremors, nervousness, hallucinations, breathing trouble. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact you're physician or healthcare professional.
M finish Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional if you have: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, high blood pressure, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, depression, history of tablet dependency, any allergies. Use caution performing tasks requiring alertness if this drug causes you to feel drowsy. check this product's ingredient list since phenylpropanolamine (PPA). the FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult your pharmacist promptly if it contains PPA or if you uncertain this product has PPA. this pill should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your physician. since small amounts of it drug are found in breast milk, consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
M end med interactions: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription med you may take, including: blood pressure drugs, antidepressants, sedatives, tranquilizers, sleeping tablets, MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine), cimetidine, narcotic pain pill (e.g., codeine). Limit your intake of alcoholic beverages while taking this medication. don't start or stop any medicine with-out doctor or pharmacist approval.
M end Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include drowsiness, headache, dizziness, weakness, profuse sweating, slow or fast heartbeat, slow or shallow breathing, hyperactivity, fever, seizures, or unconsciousness.
M end special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this medication. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.
If you missed M end dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if Its near time since following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
M finish Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. don't store in the bathroom.
