Dyphysin Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dyphylline acts to widen air passages in lungs to make breathing easier. this combination medication is used to relieve symptoms associated with the common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis & other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Dyphysin: Take this drug as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. don't increase you're dose or take this more often than directed. this medication is best taken with full glass about water after meal or snack.
Dyphysin side effects: Headache, stomach upset, loss of appetite, nausea, anxiety, irritability or nervousness may occur the 1'st several days as youre body adjusts to medication. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform some your physician. Notify your physician if you develop: chest pain, fast/irregular heartbeat, rash, vomiting, trouble sleeping, dizziness, flushing, tremors, mental confusion. Notify your doctor if your breathing difficulty continues or worsens. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or healthcare professional.
Dyphysin Precautions: Tell your physician some your medical history, especially about: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), HBP, history of ulcers or seizures, glaucoma, any allergies. Smoking can reduce effects of it medication. Inform your healthcare professional if you smoke before taking it. Limit your intake about caffeine containing products while taking this medication as it can increase risk of side effects. Caffeine is found in coffee, tea, cola, cocoa and chocolate. this drug must be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your pharmacist. since small amounts of this medication are found in breast milk, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Dyphysin drug interactions: Tell your physician of any over-the-counter or prescription pill you may take including: blood pressure medicine, anti-seizure drugs, antibiotics, steroids, thyroid hormones, 'water pills' (diuretics). do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Dyphysin Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, restlessness, irritability, headache, difficulty sleeping, loss of appetite, irregular heart rate, sweating, and seizures.
Dyphysin special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this drug. this will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.
If you missed Dyphysin dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume some your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Dyphysin Storage: Store in room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in the bathroom.
