How to use Nutrilipid: Allow every bags or bottles to warm to room temperature before using. this nutritional supplement is administered intravenously as directed by certified health care professional. It's infused over predetermined time period stated on bottle.
Nutrilipid side effects: most common side effect of intravenous nutrition is infection or irritation of vein at the administration site (catheter). this should be reported to your doctor. Also report: shortness of breath, nausea, vomiting, headache, flushing, sweating, sleepiness. Notify your healthcare professional immediately if you experience: itchy hives, sudden weight gain, fever, chills, yellowing of the skin or eyes, darkening urine, bruising, stomach pain. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist.
Nutrilipid Precautions: Tell your pharmacist if you have any pre-existing conditions, such as: kidney disease, digestive disorders, other illness, any allergies. it medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. If you missed Nutrilipid dose: If you miss a dose, take this as soon as remembered; do not take it if this is near time for next dose, instead, skip missed dose & contact some your healthcare professional to establish new dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Nutrilipid Storage: Store unopened containers at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. Mixed fat emulsions should be refrigerated & used within 24 hours. Discard any unused medication after expiration date.
