    Combination antibiotic and steroid - ophthalmic ointment

    Simular Drugs : Tobradex, Tobradex

    Tobradex Usage: this pill is used to treat or prevent eye infections.

    How to use Tobradex: for best effect, it medication must be used routinely as directed. Continue using it for the full time prescribed. Stopping this medication too soon may not clear the infection & could possibly result in reinfection. To apply ointment, wash hands 1'st. To avoid contamination, be careful not to touch tip of tube to some your hand or eye. Warm tube in your hand before using. Tilt youre head back, gaze upward and pull down the lower eyelid to make a pouch. Place tip of tube directly over pouch & apply prescribed amount about ointment. Blink gently. do not rinse tip of tube. Use clean tissue to wipe any excess from your eye & from tip of tube after using. If you are also using drops, be sure to instill the drops at least 5 minutes prior to ointment. If you are using another kind of ointment, wait at least ten minutes before applying it to eye. don't wear contact lenses while using it product.

    Tobradex side effects: this drug may temporarily sting you're eyes for minute or two when you 1'st use this. If stinging persists or becomes bothersome, inform your healthcare professional. Vision may be temporarily blurred or unstable after applying it ointment. Use caution when driving or performing duties that require clear vision. Notify youre physician if you develop: skin rash, itching/red- ness/swelling in or around eyes, vision problems. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or healthcare professional.

    Tobradex Precautions: Tell your pharmacist your medical history, especially of: other eye problems, contact lens use, any allergies. this drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with you're physician. Consult with your pharmacist before breast-feeding.

    Tobradex drug interactions: Tell you're doctor of all prescription & nonprescription medication you may use, especially: other eye medicine. don't start or stop any medicine without physician or pharmacist approval.

    Tobradex Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.

    Tobradex special notes: If tube is first warmed in hand prior to use, the ointment will flow more easily.

    If you missed Tobradex dose: Apply the missed dose as soon as remembered unless It's nearly clock for next dose. If it is near time for following dose, skip missed dose and resume youre regular dosing schedule.

    Tobradex Storage: Store it drug at room temperature away from heat and sunlight. Avoid freezing this.
