G Phed Pd Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous & congestion. Pseudoephedrine is decongestant which helps relieve nasal congestion. this combination drug is used to treat symptoms associated with cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.
How to use G Phed Pd: Take this drug by mouth. it should be swallowed whole. don't crush or chew drug. If stomach upset occurs, this may be taken with food or milk. Take this medication as directed. do not increase the dose or take it more often or longer than prescribed. It's recommended to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 glasses a day) to help relieve congestion.
G Phed Pd side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, loss of appetite, nervousness, dizziness, or headache may occur the first some days as your body adjusts to tablet. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your healthcare professional. Notify your physician if you develop: chest pain, rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficulty urinating (men only), difficulty sleeping. Because this medication may cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness & avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate this effect. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're doctor or pharmacist.
G Phed Pd Precautions: Tell youre doctor if you have: pre-existing heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, lung disease, emphysema, high blood pressure, overactive thyroid, diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, difficulty urinating, an enlarged prostate, history of seizures. it drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your pharmacist. Its not known if this med appears in breast milk; consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
G Phed Pd drug interactions: Tell your physician about any over-the-counter or prescription med you may take including: sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, drug for depression, medication for hypertension. Tell your physician if you have taken any MAO inhibitors in last 2 weeks: furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, linezolid. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
G Phed Pd Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, fast or irregular heartbeat, and seizures.
G Phed Pd special notes: do not share it product with others.
If you missed G Phed Pd dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take if it is almost time for the following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
G Phed Pd Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 and 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in the bathroom.
