Alamag Usage: this is an antacid that works in the stomach to neutralize & reduce acid. Antacids used to treat an upset stomach caused by heartburn, acid indigestion, or sour stomach; to treat peptic ulcer, hiatal hernia or another conditions caused by an excess about stomach acid; and to prevent ulcers or bleeding from ulcers.
How to use Alamag: Take it medication as prescribed. Taking too much an antacid can reverse effects & more acid will be secreted. in certain conditions, however, it may be necessary to take antacid as frequently as all 1 to two hours. To be effective, chewable tablets must be chewed thoroughly before swallowing followed by full glass of water. Shake liquid forms well before pouring each dose. don't take any other medication within 1 to 2 hours of taking an antacid. since antacids coat the stomach, they can prevent another meds from being absorbed properly if taken in same clock.
Alamag side effects: it medication can cause nausea, loss of appetite, constipation or diarrhea, weakness, or headache. If these symptoms persist or become severe, notify youre healthcare professional. Notify you're healthcare professional if you notice black, tarry stools while taking this drug. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're doctor or pharmacist.

Alamag drug interactions: Tell your pharmacist about all prescription & nonprescription drugs you may use, especially of: tetracycline, ferrous sulfate (iron), medications used for arthritis (e.g., aspirin, indomethacin), digoxin, isoniazid, pseudoephedrine, diazepam, methenamine, ketoconazole. do not start or stop any medicine with out doctor or pharmacist approval.
Alamag Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include dizziness, fatigue, weakness, severe nausea and vomiting, loss of appetite, drowsiness, slow or shallow breathing, or loss of consciousness.
Alamag special notes: Refrigerating the liquid antacids may improve the taste. do not freeze. If you dislike the taste about one antacid, talk to your physician or pharmacist about switching to similar product. liquid antacid forms work faster & are more effective than other forms. However, chewable meds may be more convenient.
If you missed Alamag dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if this is almost time for next dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Alamag Storage: Store tablets, capsules and powdered forms in room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in the bathroom. do not freeze liquid forms of this med.
