Senna Lax Usage: Irritant or stimulant laxatives are used to treat constipation and to clear the intestine before rectal or bowel examinations.
How to use Senna Lax: Take each dose with a full glass of water or juice & drink plenty of fluids while taking this medication. Chewable tablets to be chewed thoroughly. pills to be swallowed whole with full glass of water. Wafers are to be chewed. Laxatives should not be used in persons experiencing stomach cramps, nausea or vomiting.
Senna Lax side effects: it medication may cause diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, rectal irritation, stomach cramps or bloating. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform some your healthcare professional. Notify your pharmacist if you experience: rectal bleeding, rapid heart rate, weakness, dizziness, fainting, sweating, skin rash, unrelieved constipation. this medication may cause urine to turn pink, red or brownish in color. do not be alarmed. It's not harmful. Prolonged, frequent or excessive use about laxatives may lead to dependency. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're healthcare professional or pharmacist.
Senna Lax Precautions: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: kidney disease, heart disease, high blood pressure, swelling (edema), any allergies (especially to tartrazine). Castor oil isnot recommended for use during pregnancy. Bulk producing laxatives are an alternative. Discuss risks and benefits with your doctor. Consult your pharmacist before using any drug while breast-feeding.
Senna Lax drug interactions: Because laxatives may interfere with absorption about few medications, it is important to tell your pharmacist of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take. Avoid the use of dairy products or antacids within one hour of taking bisacodyl tablets. do not start or stop any medicine with-out pharmacist or doctor approval.
Senna Lax Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include severe diarrhea, nausea/vomiting, loss of appetite, muscle cramps, weakness, lack of feeling alert, or dry gums & eyes.
Senna Lax special notes: To maintain normal bowel habits, it is important to drink plenty of fluids (4 to 6 eight ounce glasses day), increase youre intake about fiber & roughage & exercise regularly.
If you missed Senna Lax dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take this if It's near clock for the following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume some your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
