G Phed Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous & congestion. Pseudoephedrine is decongestant which helps relieve nasal congestion. this combination med is used to treat symptoms associated with a cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.
How to use G Phed: Take this medication by mouth. it should be swallowed whole. don't crush or chew medication. If stomach upset occurs, this may be taken with food or milk. Take this med as directed. do not increase the dose or take it more often or longer than prescribed. It's recommended to drink plenty about fluids (6-8 glasses a day) to help relieve congestion.
G Phed side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, loss of appetite, nervousness, dizziness, or headache may occur the first some days as youre body adjusts to drug. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your physician if you develop: chest pain, a rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficulty urinating (men only), difficulty sleeping. Because this drug can cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness & avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate this effect. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre doctor or pharmacist.
G Phed Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional if you have: pre-existing heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, lung disease, emphysema, hypertension, overactive thyroid, diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, difficulty urinating, an enlarged prostate, history of seizures. this drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your physician. it isnot known if this medication appears in breast milk; consult your pharmacist before breast-feeding.
G Phed drug interactions: Tell you're physician about any over-the-counter or prescription med you may take including: sleeping tablets, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, drug for depression, medication since hypertension. Tell your pharmacist if you have taken any MAO inhibitors in the last two weeks: furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, linezolid. do not start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.
G Phed Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, quick or irregular heartbeat, and seizures.
G Phed special notes: don't share this product with others.
If you missed G Phed dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost time for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
G Phed Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. don't store in the bathroom.
