Koromex Coil Spring Diaphragm Usage: this barrier device is used to prevent pregnancy.

How to use Koromex Coil Spring Diaphragm: To be most effective, diaphragm is used with spermicide contraceptive as directed. Practice inserting and removing the diaphragm at the doctor's office to learn proper placement. Prior to sexual intercourse, place proper amount of spermicide into diaphragm and spread several around outer ring. Insert the diaphragm into the vagina to cover cervix. diaphragm & spermicide must remain in place for 6-8 hours after last act of intercourse (time is dependent upon the product information for spermicide). diaphragm should be removed as soon as possible after this time period. the diaphragm should not be worn continuously for more than 24 hours. If additional spermicide is required while the diaphragm is worn, diaphragm should not be removed to apply the spermicide. Wash the diaphragm using warm, soapy water. Dry it and hold it to light to money for any holes or tears. Place the diaphragm in case since proper storage. a diaphragm should be refitted after childbirth & should be checked at every annual pelvic exam.
