St Joseph Cough Syrup Usage: Dextromethorphan is cough suppressant used to relieve dry, hacking cough.
How to use St Joseph Cough Syrup: Take this drug by mouth as prescribed. do not increase you're dose or take this more often than directed.
St Joseph Cough Syrup side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, or stomach ache may occur first several days as you're body adjusts to drug. If any about these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your physician. To avoid dizziness & lightheadedness when rising from a seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit your intake of alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Notify you're doctor if you develop: chest pain, a rapid pulse, nervousness, confusion. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre physician or pharmacist.
St Joseph Cough Syrup Precautions: Tell you're doctor if you have: lung problems (e.g., asthma, emphysema), allergies (especially drug allergies). it medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with some your physician. since small amounts of this drug found in breast milk, consult youre pharmacist before breast-feeding.
St Joseph Cough Syrup med interactions: Tell your doctor about any over-the-counter or prescription drug you use, especially of: MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). do not start or stop any medicine with out pharmacist or physician approval.
St Joseph Cough Syrup Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
St Joseph Cough Syrup special notes: If the cough worsens, last for longer than one week or is accompanied by high fever, notify your physician.
If you missed St Joseph Cough Syrup dose: If you miss dose, take this as soon as remembered; do not take this if it is near clock for the following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
St Joseph Cough Syrup Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. don't store in bathroom.
