Sennalax Usage: Irritant or stimulant laxatives used to treat constipation & to clear intestine before rectal or bowel examinations.
How to use Sennalax: Take each dose with full glass of water or juice and drink plenty of fluids while taking this medication. Chewable tablets are to be chewed thoroughly. pills are to be swallowed whole with full glass of water. Wafers are to be chewed. Laxatives must not be used in persons experiencing stomach cramps, nausea or vomiting.
Sennalax side effects: this pill may cause diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, rectal irritation, stomach cramps or bloating. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify some your healthcare professional if you experience: rectal bleeding, rapid heart rate, weakness, dizziness, fainting, sweating, skin rash, unrelieved constipation. it drug can cause the urine to turn pink, red or brownish in color. do not be alarmed. it isnot harmful. Prolonged, frequent or excessive use of laxatives may lead to dependency. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Sennalax Precautions: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially about: kidney disease, heart disease, high blood pressure, swelling (edema), any allergies (especially to tartrazine). Castor oil is not recommended for use during pregnancy. Bulk producing laxatives are an alternative. Discuss risks & benefits with some your pharmacist. Consult you're physician before using any drug while breast-feeding.
Sennalax medication interactions: Because laxatives may interfere with the absorption of some medications, It's important to tell your healthcare professional of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take. Avoid use of dairy products or antacids within one hour about taking bisacodyl meds. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or physician approval.
Sennalax Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include severe diarrhea, nausea/vomiting, loss of appetite, muscle cramps, weakness, lack about feeling alert, or dry gums & eyes.
Sennalax special notes: To maintain normal bowel habits, it is important to drink plenty about fluids (4 to 6 eight ounce glasses day), increase your intake about fiber and roughage & exercise regularly.
If you missed Sennalax dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near time for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Sennalax Storage: Different brands of this pill may have different storage requirements. Refer to package labeling or ask your pharmacist for specific storage requirements for the brand you using.
