Belladonna alkaloids with barbiturates - oral
Hyosophen Usage: this medication slows activity of digestive system, thereby reducing cramping & gastric motility. Barbiturates are used for theyre calming, sedative effects. Used to treat stomach & intestinal disorders, motion sickness premenstrual tension, bed-wetting & urinary frequency.
How to use Hyosophen: Take 30 minutes to one hour before meals, unless your doctor tells you otherwise. May be taken with food or milk if stomach upset occurs. do not take within one hour of an antacid or anti-diarrheal drug as effectiveness of it medication will be reduced. Take this drug as prescribed. do not increase dose or take it more often than instructed. Sustained-release tablets must be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew them or sustained activity will be destroyed & chance about side effects increased.
Hyosophen side effects: may cause drowsiness. Use caution when performing tasks that require alertness. other side effects include dry mouth, bloating, constipation, difficulty in urination, irregular pulse, confusion, tremors, restlessness, blurred vision, altered taste perception. Inform your physician if any about these effects continue or worsen. If this pill makes you constipated, increase youre fiber intake by eating more fresh fruit & vegetables, salad, & whole grain breads. Exercise and drink plenty about water (unless youre physician tells you not to). in unlikely episode you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek medical attention immediately. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or pharmacist.
Hyosophen Precautions: If you ever had an unusual reaction to belladonna or to any barbiturate or if you allergic to tartrazine (a yellow dye), tell some your healthcare professional before taking this drug. If you have any about next health problems, inform your physician before using this pill. it pill should not be used if you have: kidney disease, liver disease, glaucoma, heart problems, certain diseases of urinary tract. Alcoholic beverages may add to the drowsiness caused by it medication. Avoid strenuous exercise especially in hot weather & avoid saunas while taking it tablet. this drug reduces sweating which can lead to overheating. this combination product isnot recommended for use during pregnancy. Consult you're physician before using it drug. it drug is excreted into breast milk. the barbiturate at this drug has caused problems in nursing infants. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Hyosophen medication interactions: many drugs can decrease effects about this medication or increase It's side effects. Tell your doctor what prescription and nonprescription drugs you are taking, especially meds that cause drowsiness such as: cough-and-cold medicines, sleep meds, narcotic pain medications (e.g., codeine). this drug may interfere with effectiveness of birth control pills. Discuss using other methods of birth control with your doctor. don't start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or doctor approval.
Hyosophen Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact some your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea/vomiting, blurred vision, unusual size about pupils, cold or hot dry & flushed skin, dry mouth, fast heartbeat, fever, headache, fast or slow and shallow breathing, change in amount of urine, drowsiness, blue skin, or unconsciousness.

If you missed Hyosophen dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if It's almost time for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Hyosophen Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in bathroom. do not freeze liquid forms of this med.
