Warning: children & teenagers shouldnot use aspirin, aspirin- containing or aspirin-related medications for flu symptoms or chickenpox without first consulting healthcare professional. a rare but serious illness known as Reye's syndrome may occur.
V R Aspirin Usage: Aspirin is used to relieve mild to moderate pain, reduce fever, to reduce inflammation and swelling in conditions such as arthritis & is used in low doses as a 'blood thinner' to prevent formation of blood clots. it is effective in reducing risk about stroke & offers protective effect against heart attacks in men with chest pain.
How to use V R Aspirin: Take by mouth with food or after meals to prevent stomach upset. Take this med with full glass (8 oz or 240 ml) of water unless youre doctor directs you otherwise. do not lie down since at least 30 minutes after taking this medication. Sustained release, long acting or enteric-coated preparations must be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew them or sustained activity may be destroyed & side effects increased.
V R Aspirin side effects: Stomach upset is most common side effect. Others include heartburn, loss of appetite or dizziness. Notify your physician if any of these symptoms persist or worsen. Notify your doctor promptly if you develop: persistent ringing in the ears, difficulty hearing, dark urine, yellowing eyes, simple bruising, persistent stomach pain, black stools. at the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek immeditial medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, breathing trouble. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or physician.
V R Aspirin Precautions: If you have any about next health problems, consult your physician before using aspirin: liver disease, kidney disease, bleeding disorders, ulcers, stomach/intestinal problems, nasal polyps, gout, asthma, any allergies - especially aspirin/NSAID allergy (e.g., ibuprofen, celecoxib). kid & teenagers shouldn't take aspirin if they have chickenpox, influenza or any undiagnosed illness without 1-st consulting physician about Reye's syndrome, rare but serious illness. If you have congestive heart failure or are on a sodium- restricted diet, do not take effervescent aspirin pills or powders because they high at sodium. If you have had oral surgery or your tonsils removed in the last seven days, don't use chewable aspirin tablets, effervescent aspirin or aspirin in crushed tablets or gargles. it medicine can cause stomach bleeding. daily use of alcohol, especially when combined with this medicine, may increase your risk for stomach bleeding. bucks with your doctor or pharmacist for more information. Aspirin is not recommended since use during pregnancy. Consult your doctor before taking aspirin. Aspirin is excreted into breast milk. Though to date there have been no reports of harm to nursing infants, consult you're pharmacist before breast-feeding. Aspirin that has strong vinegar-like odor is old & shouldnot be used.
V R Aspirin drug interactions: Tell you're pharmacist of all prescription & nonprescription drugs you may use, especially: 'blood thinners' (anticoagulants or antiplatelet drugs such as warfarin, heparins, NSAIDs), acetazolamide, corticosteroids (e.g., prednisone), methotrexate, medication for gout, drug for diabetes. If you have diabetes, regular high-dose use of aspirin may affect test results since urine sugar. Aspirin is an ingredient in much of over-the-counter products. To prevent an overdose of aspirin, read labels carefully before taking other pain relievers or cold products to be sure they do not contain aspirin. Consult your pharmacist if you uncertain your over-the-counter products contain aspirin. don't start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
V R Aspirin Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include nausea, vomiting, burning pain at throat and stomach, loss of appetite, fever, tremors, confusion, headache, dizziness, weakness, ringing in ears, fast or slow breathing, agitation, constipation, seizures, fainting, or unconsciousness.
V R Aspirin special notes: theyre are many different dosage forms for aspirin products. some have special coatings or contain buffers and some long acting. Ask you're doctor or healthcare professional for recommendations on best product for you.
If you missed V R Aspirin dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take if It's almost time for the following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.
V R Aspirin Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (between 15 and 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. don't store in the bathroom.
