Dentagel Usage: Sodium fluoride makes teeth more resistant to decay and bacteria that cause cavities. this medication is used to prevent cavities. this fluoride supplement is used when drinking water contains low fluoride levels (less than 0.7 parts per million).
How to use Dentagel: it is best used once per day just before bedtime after routine brushing & flossing or as directed by your doctor. Apply thin ribbon about medicine to a toothbrush and brush thoroughly for two minutes or as directed. Adults: after use, spit out excess. for best results, don't eat, drink or rinse for 30 minutes. Age six to 16: after use, spit out excess & rinse mouth thoroughly.
Dentagel side effects: Inform your physician if you experience mouth or gum irritation while using this drug. If your teeth become stained or change color, notify your dentist. Nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhea, headache or muscle twitches may occur if it drug is accidentally swallowed. If these symptoms occur, contact your doctor. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist.
Dentagel Precautions: Tell some your physician your medical history, especially about: any allergies, kidney problems, joint pain. If you live in an region where drinking water is fluoridated, inform your pharmacist. Before using this medicine, tell you're pharmacist if you pregnant. It's not known if it drug is excreted into breast milk. Consult you're pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Dentagel drug interactions: Tell your physician of all prescription and nonprescription pills you may use. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or healthcare professional approval.
Dentagel Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, excess saliva, stomach pain, diarrhea, irritability, seizures, and loss of consciousness.
Dentagel special notes: Fluoride is found in tea, fluoridated water & fish eaten with bones such as sardines.
If you missed Dentagel dose: If you miss dose, apply it as soon as remembered; don't use it if It's near time for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Dentagel Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. As with all meds, keep out of reach of children.
