Karigel N Usage: Sodium fluoride makes teeth more resistant to decay and bacteria that cause cavities. this medication is used to prevent cavities. this fluoride supplement is used when the drinking water contains low fluoride levels (less than 0.7 parts per million).
How to use Karigel N: this is best used one time daily just before bedtime after routine brushing & flossing or as directed by your pharmacist. Apply a thin ribbon of medicine to a toothbrush and brush thoroughly since two minutes or as directed. Adults: after use, spit out excess. for best results, do not eat, drink or rinse since 30 minutes. Age 6 to 16: after use, spit out excess & rinse mouth thoroughly.
Karigel N side effects: Inform youre physician if you experience mouth or gum irritation while using this drug. If some your teeth become stained or change color, notify your dentist. Nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhea, headache or muscle twitches may occur if this med is accidentally swallowed. If these symptoms occur, contact your doctor. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or pharmacist.
Karigel N Precautions: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: any allergies, kidney problems, joint pain. If you live in an area where drinking water is fluoridated, inform youre doctor. Before using it medicine, tell your doctor if you are pregnant. it isn't known if it drug is excreted into breast milk. Consult youre healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Karigel N tablet interactions: Tell your doctor of every prescription and nonprescription pills you may use. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or pharmacist approval.
Karigel N Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, excess saliva, stomach pain, diarrhea, irritability, seizures, and loss of consciousness.
Karigel N special notes: Fluoride is found in tea, fluoridated water and fish eaten with bones such as sardines.
If you missed Karigel N dose: If you miss dose, apply it as soon as remembered; do not use it if it is near time for following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Karigel N Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. As with every medications, keep out of the reach of children.
