Taladine Usage: this medication reduces the amount of acid at your stomach. this is used to treat and prevent ulcers, to treat gastroesophageal reflux disorder (GERD), and to treat conditions associated with excessive acid secretion.
How to use Taladine: this pill is best taken with or immediately after meals. Antacids and sucralfate can block effect of this medication. If you are taking an antacid in addition to this medication, separate the doses of each medication by in least one half hour. If you are taking sucralfate in addition to this medication, take the ranitidine two hours before sucralfate. do not stop taking it drug with-out your doctor's approval. Stopping therapy too soon may delay healing of ulcer.
Taladine side effects: Nausea, diarrhea, headache, or dizziness may occur in 1st as your body adjusts to medication. If these effects persist or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your healthcare professional if you experience: unusual bleeding or bruising, pounding chest pain, rash, difficulty sleeping, mental changes, extreme weakness. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact you're doctor or physician.
Taladine Precautions: Before using it medication, tell your healthcare professional or physician your medical history, especially of: heartburn combined with lightheadedness or sweating or dizziness, chest pain or shoulder/jaw pain especially with shortness of breath, pain spreading to arms or neck or shoulders, unexplained weight loss, liver or kidney problems, tobacco use (smoking), other stomach problems (e.g., tumors), any allergies (including med allergies). women who are pregnant or breast-feeding must inform their doctors before taking it med.
Taladine drug interactions: Tell your physician about every over-the-counter and prescription medication you may use, especially about: ketoconazole, itraconazole, triazolam. this medication is available in both prescription & over-the-counter formulations. do not take both at the same time. do not start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or doctor approval.
Taladine Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include difficulty breathing, fast heartbeat, tremors, vomiting, restlessness, weakness, fatigue, or dizziness.
Taladine special notes: your physician may recommend some lifestyle changes such as stress-reducing programs, diet changes & exercise to assist in treatment & prevention of ulcers. Ranitidine may affect the results of tests for urine protein. Be sure to tell your doctor you are taking ranitidine.
If you missed Taladine dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered; don't take if It's almost time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Taladine Storage: Store between 36 & 77 degrees F (between two & 25 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store at the bathroom.
