    Hydroquinone - topical

    common brand names: Eldoquin, Epiquin Micro, Lustra, Melanex

    Melanex Usage: it drug is used to temporarily fade dark skin spots such as freckles & 'age spots'.

    How to use Melanex: this medication is for use on the skin only. Use carefully if applying to the face. Avoid contact with eyes and mouth. Use as directed, usually twice a day. since best results, apply a small amount about pill on skin to be treated. a thin layer is every that is needed. Rub in gently. do not use on irritated or broken skin.

    Melanex side effects: this drug can cause dry skin, burning, irritation, redness, cracking or peeling of skin or rash. Inform some your physician if any of these symptoms continue or become worse. Notify youre doctor if you develop: skin rash, swelling at area the medication was applied to. Tell your doctor immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: a gradual blue-black darkening of skin (ochronosis). in the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms about an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or physician.

    Melanex Precautions: Tell youre doctor if you have: other illnesses, other infections, any allergies (especially to sulfites, certain brands of this drug contain sulfites). it medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks and benefits with you're pharmacist. it isn't known if this medication is found in breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

    Melanex drug interactions: Tell your healthcare professional about any over-the-counter or prescription medication you use, including: all skin products. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or doctor approval.

    Melanex Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.

    Melanex special notes: If no effect is noticed after two months about treatment, notify your healthcare professional. for best effects, avoid sun exposure. Use sunscreen & wear protective clothing while outside.

    If you missed Melanex dose: If you miss dose, apply this as soon as remembered; do not apply it if it is near time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.

    Melanex Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 & 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. Discard unused pill after expiration date noted on the container.
