Antihistamines with decongestants - oral
Histafed Usage: Antihistamines provide relief of symptoms of allergies such as rash, hives, watery eyes, runny nose, itching eyes and sneezing. Decongestants relieve congestion, promote sinus draining and improve breathing.
How to use Histafed: May be taken with food or milk to prevent stomach upset. Its recommended to drink plenty of fluids while taking it drug, unless youre pharmacist instructs you otherwise. If symptoms do not improve after 7 days or accompanied by high fever, notify your physician. do not increase dose or take this more frequently than recommended. suspension dosage form should be shaken well before each use.
Histafed side effects: may cause drowsiness, dizziness, headache, loss of appetite, stomach upset, blurred vision, restlessness, irritability and dry mouth and nose. These effects should subside as your body adjusts to medication. If they persist or become bothersome, inform youre healthcare professional. Notify some your doctor if you develop: breathing difficulties, heart pounding, irregular heartbeat, chest pain, ringing in the ears, difficulty urinating. can cause dizziness especially when rising quickly from a seated or lying position. Change positions slowly & be careful on stairs. Use caution engaging at activities requiring alertness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or physician.
Histafed Precautions: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: asthma, glaucoma, ulcers, difficulty urinating due to an enlarged prostate gland, heart disease, high blood pressure, seizures, an overactive thyroid gland, tablet allergies. cash it product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). the FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult you're pharmacist promptly if it contains PPA or if you uncertain this product has PPA. do not drink alcoholic beverages. this drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Consult youre doctor before breast-feeding. don't give this medication to child younger than six years of age unless directed to do so by a physician.
Histafed med interactions: Tell youre pharmacist what medications you take, especially of: high blood pressure drugs, anti-seizure pills, antidepressants, sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, narcotic pain drug, another cold or allergy medication. do not take this drug if you have taken an MAO inhibitor (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine) within the last two weeks. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or doctor approval.
Histafed Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose in child may include dizziness, nausea/vomiting, abnormal eye movements, flushed face, dry mouth, change at amount about urine, fever, excitation, agitation, unconsciousness, bizarre behavior, confusion, restlessness, irritability, delirium, twitching, tiredness, abnormal tongue movement, trembling extremities, slurred speech, or seizures. Symptoms about overdose at adults may include nausea/vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, or unconsciousness, which may be followed by excitement or seizures.
Histafed special notes: don't share this product with others.
If you missed Histafed dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost time for following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Histafed Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight and moisture.
