    Calcium carbonate antacid - chewable meds

    common brand names: Dicarbosil, Rolaids, Titralac, Tums

    V R Antacid Usage: this drug is an antacid used to relieve upset stomach, heartburn or gas caused by stomach acid.

    How to use V R Antacid: Take this by mouth as directed. Chew thoroughly & swallow. do not swallow tablets whole. Follow each dose with full glass of water. do not increase dose or take this more often than prescribed. If you feel your dose isn't effective, consult your pharmacist.

    V R Antacid side effects: this drug is generally well tolerated. Constipation or stomach cramps may occur. Notify your doctor if they continue or become severe. Tell you're doctor immediately if any of these serious side effects occur: loss of appetite, vomiting, dizziness, headache. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

    V R Antacid Precautions: Before taking it, tell some your pharmacist if you have: kidney disease, any allergies. Avoid taking more doses then recommended. it pill is considered safe for use during pregnancy or breast-feeding when used as directed.

    V R Antacid drug interactions: Tell your physician of any nonprescription or prescription drug you may take including: certain antibiotics (e.g., tetracyclines, quinolones), demeclocycline, methacycline, verapamil (a calcium channel blocker), quinidine, sodium polystyrene sulfonate, iron-containing products. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

    V R Antacid Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, tiredness, & weakness.

    V R Antacid special notes: there are various forms of it drug available. chewable meds offer convenience but the liquid form is faster acting. chat to your health care provider or healthcare professional of best product for you. If your condition does not improve or worsens, contact your healthcare professional or physician. If you're stools become dark at color or you vomit what looks like coffee grounds, contact your doctor as these may be signs of stomach bleeding

    If you missed V R Antacid dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered don't take it if this is near the time for next dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

    V R Antacid Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from light and moisture. do not store at the bathroom.
