Kapectolin Usage: Attapulgite is used in treatment of diarrhea. it works by absorbing fluid in intestine.

How to use Kapectolin: this medication is usually taken after each loose bowel movement. Follow package instructions. Chewable tablets must be chewed thoroughly before swallowing. the liquid form should be shaken well before pouring each dose.

Kapectolin side effects: this med is generally well tolerated. Stomach upset may occur. If diarrhea isn't relieved after two days of using this drug or you develop fever or stomach cramps, notify youre doctor. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're pharmacist or pharmacist.

Kapectolin Precautions: Tell your doctor if you have: heart disease, bowel problems, allergies. this drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your doctor. Consult your pharmacist before using any medication while breast-feeding.

Kapectolin drug interactions: Tell your pharmacist of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or physician approval.

Kapectolin Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

Kapectolin special notes: To maintain normal bowel habits, It's important to drink plenty about fluids (4-6 8 ounce glasses a day), eat foods high at fiber & roughage and exercise regularly.

If you missed Kapectolin dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near clock for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

Kapectolin Storage: Store tablets at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. liquid form of this drug may be stored in refrigerator to improve taste.
