Warning: Daunorubicin must only be given into a vein through other IV fluids. do not inject this med into muscle (IM) or just beneath skin (subcutaneously). Notify pharmacist immediately if redness, pain, & swelling occurs at, or around, the injection site. Daunorubicin may cause heart problems (including heart failure) or bone marrow suppression. Notify your pharmacist immediately if you develop an irregular heartbeat, trouble breathing, swelling of hands or feet, simple bruising or bleeding, or signs of infection such as fever, unusual fatigue, or persistent sore throat. Tell youre healthcare professional if you have liver or kidney problems before starting treatment with this med. You may require smaller doses of daunorubicin.

How to use Daunorubicin HCL: it is potent medication. Use it exactly as prescribed. Tell you're pharmacist or nurse immediately if you experience pain, burning or redness at the place where injected. Unless your doctor instructs you otherwise, drink plenty of fluids while taking this drug. it helps your kidneys to remove the med from your body and avoid few about side effects.

Daunorubicin HCL side effects: Nausea, vomiting and diarrhea common side effects. Not eating before treatment may help relieve vomiting. Changes in diet such as eating few small meals or limiting activity may help lessen some of these effects. in few cases, med therapy may be necessary to prevent or relieve nausea and vomiting. it medication may turn your urine reddish color. this is normal effect of drug as it leaves youre body & is not blood in urine. effect should clear up within two days after each dose is given. Temporary hair loss is another common side effect. Normal hair growth should return after treatment has ended. Contact youre doctor, with out delay, if you experience any of the following symptoms: sores in mouth or on lips, fever or chills, cough or hoarseness, lower back or side pain, painful or difficult urination, irregular heartbeat, shortness about breath, swelling of feet or lower legs, stomach pain, joint pain, unusual bleeding or bruising, black or tarry stools, blood in urine or stools, small red spots on skin, skin rash, itchy skin. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're doctor or pharmacist.

Daunorubicin HCL Precautions: it medication must not be used by women who are or may become pregnant or while nursing. Because this med can affect the production of sperm in men, a reliable form of birth control is recommended while taking this medication. Tell your doctor if you have pre-existing blood disorders, liver disease or heart disease.

Daunorubicin HCL drug interactions: Tell your pharmacist of all prescription and nonprescription drug you may use. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or doctor approval.

Daunorubicin HCL Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

Daunorubicin HCL special notes: this med can lower you're body's ability to fight an infection. Notify your healthcare professional if you develop any signs of an infection such as fever, sore throat, rash, or chills. Avoid touching youre eyes or inside your nose with out 1-st washing your hands. Use caution with sharp objects like safety razors or nail cutters & avoid activities such as contact sports at order to lower chance of getting cut, bruised or injured. do not have immunizations/vaccinations without consent about your physician, & avoid contact with people who have recently received oral polio vaccine. Regular physician visits are important. Frequent blood tests will be done to monitor therapy.
