    Tryptophan - oral capsule, tablet

    Tryptophan Usage: this drug is used along with another drugs in treatment about depressive disorders.

    How to use Tryptophan: Take this tablet by mouth exactly as prescribed. it is best taken with meals or a snack to reduce nausea. your dose may be adjusted gradually during 1st weeks of therapy to find dose just right for you. Follow dosing instructions closely. do not take this more often, increase your dose or stop taking this with out first consulting your pharmacist.

    Tryptophan side effects: this medication may cause nausea, loss of appetite, dizziness, drowsiness, headache, dry mouth or tremor. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your healthcare professional if you develop: confusion, disorientation, incoordination, vomiting, itching. this drug may cause drowsiness or dizziness. Use caution operating machinery or engaging at activities requiring alertness if this makes you drowsy. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or doctor.

    Tryptophan Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional if you have history of: cancer, diabetes, bladder problems, allergies (especially pill allergies). this medication isnot recommended for use during pregnancy or while breast-feeding. Discuss the risks & benefits with you're healthcare professional.

    Tryptophan drug interactions: Tell you're doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription tablet you may take, including: estrogens, birth control pills, antidepressants, MAO inhibitors (e.g., linezolid, furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). Its recommended to avoid consumption of alcohol while taking it tablet. don't start or stop any medicine with out physician or pharmacist approval.

    Tryptophan Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact some your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

    Tryptophan special notes: this drug is used in conjunction with lithium or other antidepressants to make them more effective. this medication alone has no therapeutic effect.

    If you missed Tryptophan dose: Try to take each dose at scheduled clock. If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take this if it is near the time for next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

    Tryptophan Storage: Store this med at room temperature away from heat & light. do not store in the bathroom. Keep this & all meds out of reach of children.
