Q Tussin Cf Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan suppresses cough. Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. this combination medication is used to treat a cough and relieve symptoms associated with common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis & other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Q Tussin Cf: this tablet is best taken with full glass of water after meal or snack. Swallow long acting tablets & capsules whole. do not crush or chew them because the long action will be destroyed & chance of side effects will be increased. Take this medication as prescribed. do not increase you're dose or take this more many times than directed.
Q Tussin Cf side effects: Mild dizziness, mild drowsiness, headache, loss of appetite, nausea, dry mouth or nervousness may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform your pharmacist. Notify your doctor if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, painful or difficult urination, tremors, extreme nervousness, trouble sleeping. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or physician.
Q Tussin Cf Precautions: Tell some your pharmacist your medical history, especially: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, high blood pressure, overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, any med allergies. cash it product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). the FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult some your pharmacist promptly if this contains PPA or if you uncertain this product has PPA. it medication must be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your doctor. this medication may be excreted into breast milk. Consult you're doctor before breast-feeding.
Q Tussin Cf pill interactions: Tell your doctor of every prescription & nonprescription tablets you use, especially: pill for blood pressure, MAO inhibitors (e.g., phenelzine, furazolidone, moclobemide, linezolid, procarbazine, selegiline), sibutramine, narcotic pain medicines (e.g., codeine, morphine). Limit your intake of alcoholic beverages while taking this medication. do not start or stop any medicine with out doctor or physician approval.
Q Tussin Cf Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include nausea/vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, loss about coordination, unusual movements of eyes, slow or shallow breathing, unconsciousness, slurred speech, change in behavior, convulsions, unusual slow or quick heartbeat, chest pain, increased thirst, fatigue, muscle weakness, headache, fever, chills, large pupils, anxiety, sweating, or tremors.
Q Tussin Cf special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this medication. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.
If you missed Q Tussin Cf dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take this if Its near the time for the following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume youre usual dosing schedule. don't double dose to catch up.
Q Tussin Cf Storage: Store in room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store at bathroom.
