Antihistamines with decongestants - oral
Phena S Usage: Antihistamines provide relief of symptoms of allergies such as rash, hives, watery eyes, runny nose, itching eyes & sneezing. Decongestants relieve congestion, promote sinus draining & improve breathing.
How to use Phena S: May be taken with food or milk to prevent stomach upset. it is recommended to drink plenty about fluids while taking it medication, unless your doctor instructs you otherwise. If symptoms don't improve after 7 days or are accompanied by high fever, notify your doctor. do not increase the dose or take it more frequently than recommended. the suspension dosage form must be shaken well before each use.
Phena S side effects: may cause drowsiness, dizziness, headache, loss of appetite, stomach upset, blurred vision, restlessness, irritability and dry mouth & nose. These effects must subside as your body adjusts to the medication. If they persist or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your physician if you develop: breathing difficulties, heart pounding, irregular heartbeat, chest pain, ringing in the ears, difficulty urinating. may cause dizziness especially when rising quickly from seated or lying position. Change positions slowly & be careful on stairs. Use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist.
Phena S Precautions: Tell you're physician your medical history, especially about: asthma, glaucoma, ulcers, difficulty urinating due to an enlarged prostate gland, heart disease, HBP, seizures, an overactive thyroid gland, medication allergies. check this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult your doctor promptly if it contains PPA or if you are uncertain this product has PPA. do not drink alcoholic beverages. this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding. do not give this medication to kid younger than 6 years of age unless directed to do so by pharmacist.
Phena S drug interactions: Tell youre doctor what meds you take, especially about: high blood pressure tablets, anti-seizure drugs, antidepressants, sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, narcotic pain pill, other cold or allergy medication. do not take this drug if you have taken an MAO inhibitor (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine) within the last two weeks. do not start or stop any medicine with out pharmacist or physician approval.
Phena S Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose in child may include dizziness, nausea/vomiting, abnormal eye movements, flushed face, dry mouth, change in amount of urine, fever, excitation, agitation, unconsciousness, bizarre behavior, confusion, restlessness, irritability, delirium, twitching, tiredness, abnormal tongue movement, trembling extremities, slurred speech, or seizures. Symptoms of overdose in adults may include nausea/vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, or unconsciousness, which may be followed by excitement or seizures.
Phena S special notes: do not share it product with others.
If you missed Phena S dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered; don't take if it is almost clock for the following dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Phena S Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight & moisture.
