Decongestant/narcotic antitussive/antihistamine - oral

Dihist Dh Usage: Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. the low-dose narcotic antitussive helps control a cough. the antihistamine is since relief from sneezing, runny nose, water eyes. this combination product is used to treat symptoms associated with common colds, allergies, hay fever & other respiratory illnesses.

How to use Dihist Dh: Take this medication as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase you're dose or take this more often then directed. this medication is best taken with full glass about water after meal or snack.

Dihist Dh side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, loss about appetite, nausea, stomach upset or dry mouth may occur first several days as your body adjusts to medication. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your physician. To avoid dizziness and lightheadedness when rising from seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit youre intake of alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Notify your pharmacist if you develop: chest pain, a rapid pulse, skin rash, high blood pressure, difficulty urinating, tremors, nervousness, hallucinations, breathing trouble. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact some your physician or pharmacist.

Dihist Dh Precautions: Tell your pharmacist if you have: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, high blood pressure, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, depression, a history of tablet dependency, any allergies. Use caution performing tasks requiring alertness if this medication causes you to feel drowsy. check this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult your pharmacist promptly if this contains PPA or if you uncertain it product has PPA. this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your doctor. since small amounts about this med are found at breast milk, consult you're physician before breast-feeding.

Dihist Dh drug interactions: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take, including: blood pressure drugs, antidepressants, sedatives, tranquilizers, sleeping tablets, MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine), cimetidine, narcotic pain med (e.g., codeine). Limit your intake of alcoholic beverages while taking this med. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

Dihist Dh Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include drowsiness, headache, dizziness, weakness, profuse sweating, slow or fast heartbeat, slow or shallow breathing, hyperactivity, fever, seizures, or unconsciousness.

Dihist Dh special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this drug. it will help to break up mucus and clear congestion.

If you missed Dihist Dh dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take it if it is near time for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.

Dihist Dh Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. don't store at the bathroom.
